Back in Town

Although it seems as if our garden Blackbirds are always around, it is  now widely accepted that they migrate - possibly not as far afield as swallows and cuckoos, but the birds who overwinter in our gardens are not the same ones that breed here in the Spring and Summer. Certainly, this idea was reinforced in our garden this year, as there was a few weeks where we saw no blackbirds at all, and now they are here in numbers.
