Assay Office

We visited the Jewellery Centre this morning to get a ring repaired. I always enjoy walking around this area, so interesting. On the way back to the station we passed by the Assay Office. This building was founded in 1773 to provide assaying (testing) and hallmarking of precious metal items (gold, silver, platinum and palladium) as required by the Hallmarking Act.

Then back to Wolverhampton for a lunch in a restaurant that specialises in Indian dosas. They were very good.
