Waves

16.5C bright spells and lots of cloud. Wind SE/S/SSW/W/WNW to 23 mph with gusts to 32 mph.

Grocery shopping.

Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. The waves were spectacular today and when the sun popped out from behind the clouds the breaking waves were lit up and looked even better.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again along the path at the back of the beach with the last little bit back on the beach itself. When we started the walk a seal popped up from the waves and had a look at us. A different, darker coloured one, was in roughly the same place when we came back to the car park.

There were no eggs on display at Little farm's roadside stand again.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was accompanying the painting.
