Man of the Match

Don’t blip my grandchildren too often but couldn’t resist this one.

On the way back from our reunion in Birmingham to Cumbria we had time to call off to to watch a football match.
This was a five aside game with two teams of 5 to7 year olds. The first round of an important knock out cup competition.
Got off to a bad start when our 6 year old grandson Alex’s team had a player missing. So they were 4 against 5.
But they played their hearts out and the final score was 4 for both teams.
As this was a cup there had to be a winner and you can imagine our cheering when Alex’s team won the penalty shootout.

And the final burst of joy when he was awarded the Man of the Match trophy.

Well done Alex.
