Mapping the way

A trip birding this morning but not to much to be seen . We started out sea watching but it was rather misty so couldn't see to far out to sea. After wards a walk round bushy areas in search of warblers etc. So with not much to be seen on the bird front no photo opportunities.
While walking round Anderby creek I spotted this Lump of concrete , I have included an extra of the plaque on it explaining what it is. Basically it dates back to the days of Ordinance  survey maps and was used as a marker to pinpoint a location.
This afternoon a trip to see the grand-kids as it was Malachi's 6th Birthday on Friday so we went over for  a family Birthday tea.
A relaxing evening getting myself ready for my return to work after a week off.
