Windy

Storm Ophelia is making herself known; I've just spotted a common gull being blown backwards (I know not to say 'seagull' as there's no such thing and my friend from the British Trust for Ornithology would berate me soundly).

A magpie has skittered across the lawn and hidden itself under a shrub. The sound of the wind is tremendous and the Ards Man has moved our cars back from being directly below the roof, in case some tiles begin to fly. Or worse, land.

We have a tall eucalyptus tree in the garden (the very bendy one in photo!) and we really must get a tree person to take it down for us - the neighbours are staring worriedly at it at the moment! It might not look very tall from the image, but it's actually down at the bottom of a fairly steep slope. The gusts seem to be increasing in strength now.

Trust everyone stays safe while Ophelia passes.
