Red sun

A strange day weather wise we all knew that Hurricane Ophelia was on its way but the morning started with a very dull sky and no wind, it gradually became darker as the wind began to pick up.  I then headed off to yoga and fortunately took my camera with me.  Just before the class was due to begin we looked out the windows and saw that the sun appeared red.  A quick dash to the car for a photo before the class started.  The sky lightened through the class time and by the time I left we had bright sunshine and wind.

It appears the colour is to do with Hurricane Ophelia bringing sand from the Sahara along with dust from the forest fires in Iberia. I do hope you are all safe today.
