Sacre-Coeur

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . to marvel

We're back in our favourite bit of Paris for a couple of days before we return home.

And although it can be overrun with tourists, it's always possible to find yourself a reasonably quiet corner to enjoy the view from the Sacre-Coeur Basilica - and to marvel at the building itself.  Work began in 1875 but it wasn't consecrated until 1919 after the 1st World War.

The statue on the far left is Joan of Arc and the other is Saint Louis . . . . . . . . .
