We celebrated Alex's 24th birthday today - where on earth did the years go? 

After a prolonged stag do last weekend he'd decided he just wanted a quiet day, which suited me too. 

To mark the occasion Ben and I made Tiramisu, which turned out surprisingly well and complimented the antipasti and Italian venison stew with red wine and wild mushrooms that preceded it.
