Before Ophelia

I managed a short break late afternoon as I’d worked through lunch. I’d tried one or two photographs to try and capture the leaden sky - I did not see the red/yellow sun caught by others - but the results do not convey the strange light.

By the time I got out mid/late afternoon the sun was breaking through. I thought I’d try and get some of the detail of the leaves on the trees before they are blown away. Instead I like this more general composition.

Sad to hear of the news of the car bomb in Malta - one of numerous international destructions going on. This one felt closer to me as we’d been in Mosta just 10 days ago. The violence seems so at odds with the warmth and friendliness we encountered on the island.
