Approaching Old Harry

After an exhilarating coastal walk we arrived at Handfast Point where the sea stacks of Old Harry and his family can be seen. Made up of chalk formed over 60 milion years ago and consisting almost entirely of microscopic shells formed by tiny algae, these rocks are a very impressive sight.

Onwards to Studland and a picnic on the beach, and then it began to rain. Three hours later, soaked through; we arrived back in Swanage feeling very exhausted

Now looking forward to a relaxing evening in our lovely appartment watching the waves crashing on the beach below.
