On the fence .....

..... instead of the gravel !!!

This is the same Small Tortoiseshell butterfly that posed for me yesterday ...... if you look you can see the same curl on his upper right wing.
He was kind enough to land on the fence with the sun shining on him. I had to wait for the gusts of wind to ease & quickly take the shot ...... he dutifully waited ....... a real poser! I also liked the shadow of his antennae. Hope you like it :-)

I make no apologies for blipping him again today ...... they will all be gone soon enough!
