Wednesday: Through The Glass

There was no way you were going to get an exterior shot today. All day, we have had that driving horizontal rain that can be such a feature of Vancouver in the autumn. I had a ten minute walk to and from lunch and so was pretty damp round the edges this afternoon.

I hosted a lunch today for my EU colleagues. On the way out our server said to me: 'You were such a lovely group'. I said that we had thought the same of her but she said: 'No, I mean it - most of the time people barely acknoweldge me let alone say hello and goodbye and thank me'. I'm more surprised about what that says about others than about us.
