Fennel Creek Restoration

Small streams need help too and some might say they are more important and effective than the larger river projects. Our project on Fennel Creek (tributary to the Puyallup River) aims to restore a more natural planform and function to the creek after decades of confinement and management practices from adjacent landowners who worked the floodplain for agriculture. This has resulted in a straightened channel, lack of pools, and lack of wood within the stream channel all of which is not great for salmon.
