Deutscher soldatenfriedhof

Had a trip out to the German War Cemetery on Cannock Chase this afternoon.
It's a very sobering place and most of the grave stones have at least 2 names...on each side. Although some of them are unknown soldiers and most of the soldiers were younger than I am now, including Rolf Wittig who wasn't even 18 yet.

In this German cemetery rest 2143 soldiers of the first world war and 2786 of the second world war. Among them lie 5 unknown of the former and 90 unknown of the latter. All died on British territory
