Beware The Beast Man

..... for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death." (The Lawgiver )

A great end to the first half term with a great movie, The War For The Planet Of The Apes. I always regarded Charlton Heston's Taylor as a villain in the original Planet Of The Apes (still one of my favourite movies of all time.) He is the snake in the apes' Garden Of Eden. They put humans to shame with their "Ape does not kill ape" code, and the first thing Taylor says when he sees the primitive humans is, "If that's the best they've got we'll be ruling this planet within a week." Yep, typical human lust for power there. The writers of this movie are clearly clued into that with the apes being innocent bystanders as humans slaughter each other. Now looking forward to seeing Taylor's return in the next installment. Question is, will Taylor be a messianic harbinger of peace from beyond the stars between apes and humans, or will he be another warmonger like last time? Can't wait to find out.

The blip has nothing to do with apes, I'm afraid, but it was cool to see Godzilla in the cinema lobby.
