The White Lion

There has been a White Lion pub in Stevenage High Street for hundreds of years.  Then a brewery did a refurbishment and changed it's name to The Mulberry Tree. There used to be a couple of concrete lions outside the door and I wondered what had become of them. They were quite impressive. I spotted them today. They have simply moved them to the back of the pub. Just in case they change the name back to the White Lion, I suppose.
