Norfolk

An early start - Angus had booked a train home at 8:15am this morning from Berwick, so MrM gave me a lift in to work on the way to see him off at the station. Sitting at my desk before 8:00am; good to have a slightly longer working day to get to grips with some reports.

A trip to the vet for Louie in the afternoon, as he's been having difficulty putting any weight on one of his back legs. The vet seemed to think that maybe he'd simply 'jarred' his leg, and she was probably right - it seemed much recovered as we left the vet's with some anti-inflammatory and a much lighter purse!

Finally got round to having a look at the map of Norfolk (I was born and brought up in Norwich) that I bought a couple weeks ago. The numbered areas delineated by different colours refer to the Poor Law Unions in 1835 - unions of parishes which administered relief to the poor. Must find out more about it...
