Bibliophiles' Bliss

What fun I had with my cousins at the Lanier Library Mystery Festival this evening! We were among other booklovers -- a number of whom provided the delicious homemade food -- and the intellectual challenge of solving a hypothetical library-based murder by searching for clues in books (and a DVD) throughout the library.

I particularly enjoyed racing to the beautiful wooden card catalog (author, title, subject) to gather some of the information. Other team members used the library's computers, searched the shelves for the desired item, or cheered their team members on.

We didn't win any prizes, but we had a wonderful time. Now we're looking forward to the arrival on Saturday of cousin B, the last expected member of this party. So far, breakfast and a walk are all that we've planned for Saturday, but no doubt the day will be filled with a variety of other activities, with plenty of time for "remember when?" conversations.
