Commemorative newspapers

I bought the newspaper of the day when each of my grandchildren were born to commemorate the day of their birth and to give them something to look back on when they reach adulthood. So, for today's blip, I've put each of those papers side by side, mainly to compare headlines. As Chris said, the headline for Landon's birth is not the sort of issue you want a young child to be reading. By the time he gets to read this paper I wonder if the 2017 headline will be little more than a footnote in history. Mind you, the sport and business articles may make interesting reading.

This evening we went to see Show of Hands in Rochester Cathedral. A few niggles with the organisers in that the pulpit partly obscured Susan's seat when Phil Beer was not standing at the microphone and by the fact that friends who booked earlier were allocated seats three rows from the front.

However, the concert was spectacular, befitting its setting. The group entered like an ecclesiastical procession singing a haunting song and at the end processed out with another superb song, this time a sea shanty. They're on a Catherdrals Tour if they are near you go and see them but you may be unlucky as they are usually sold out/
