The Wind and the Waves

It was a very exciting morning down at Vazon Bay today.  Storm Brian had been whistling around all night, the tides are high and the wind was strong. This made it very difficult to stand upright and keep a camera steady but it meant that the sea was amazing!  What I found equally amazing was that there was a man going in for a swim and several windsurfers preparing to try out their skills against the waves.  It's so difficult to give an idea of the size of the waves from where we were standing, and equally difficult to limit the amount of spray on the camera.  I enjoyed trying though.

We had a good breakfast at the Beach Bar, then caught the no. 92 bus round the south of the island into Town.  Only £1 for an hour round the coast!  Brilliant!

We are now ensconced in a very lovely hotel and are looking forward to a Blipmeet tomorrow.  Can't wait!

Interestingly, the owner of the house we stayed at last night has her mother , who has dementia, staying with her at the moment.  They are having a very difficult time and she said she nearly cancelled our stay.  I'm glad she didn't!  We had a chat and compared notes on our experiences...
