A windy but just about dryish walk to work, which was quite busy getting stock out. Then a rush to the station to get the train to see Mum again as the dentist is visiting again. The trains were delayed by 55 minutes, so then had to run to the care home, which is not easy in a gale. Jeanie was not happy today, she cried that everything hurt, that no one talked to her or fed her etc. Anyway between me and the dentist we got her to sort of co operate and show her teeth. He seemed to think all was fine, which is good. After he left I stayed in her room for a while and we looked at her dog book; animal books often calm her down, and then a Dimbleby book about Britain. Then another resident arrived and took the book off under her arm, as is the way in a dementia care home. Once Jeanie was calm we went back to one of the lounge areas to have a cuppa, but I had to wait as one of the other residents who is always hungry (because she has forgotten she has just eaten), was on the prowl. We shared another book then I said my goodbyes in between heavy windy downpours. Home via Morrisons and a reduced bread haul.
Harry and Selena are cooking tonight.
