After the Kyna.

Walking the line

Today’s walk was part of the Pen-Dal walkway, what had been the Penicuik to Dalkeith railway line. We went from the car park opposite Rosewell, walked for half an hour. There were geese in the field next to the line, an enormous flock, much larger than the numbers I was used to seeing at Gladhouse Reservoir. Initially all feeding on the harvested field, there was a Mexican wave of them changing places. The additional photo doesn’t really capture what a wonderful site it was.
