Packed

Hardly slept as kept thinking I wouldn’t hear the alarm, but I was up and ready shortly after 5am in the end and walked through Bristol with the young ones returning from their clubbing. Found the bus station and caught the shuttle to the airport. Once again all went very smoothly and was back home by 9.30, in time to join K&S&S for breakfast and chat.
We spent the day wandering around town browsing and sightseeing (18000 steps worth!) including stumbling across this eagle owl on the Royal Mile that S loved, then spent the evening at the Lyceum. Play about displaced people from all over Europe being held in a theatre by the British awaiting convoys to take them back to their home countries. We were sitting on the stage in the midst of the action (extra) amazing experiences and very modern feel to the writing despite having been first performed in 1948 (“You British don’t understand Europe”). Long day , but good
