Tim Peake's Soyuz Space Craft

Sunday 22nd October 2017 (1884)

My sister and gt-niece set off for London mid-morning. As there was a strong, cold wind mum and I decided not to go for a walk. Looking for something indoors we discovered a special exhibition at the National Media Museum.

The Soyuz Space Craft, that Tim Peake returned to earth in, is currently standing in the entrance. You can see inside it in the extra. We booked ourselves on to the virtual reality experience, an amazing 3D sensation of Tim Peake's descent to earth. You sit in the commander's seat and the VR shows your arms and legs in a space suit in front of you so you really do feel as though you are sitting there. Mum and I have never experienced VR before and it was fantastic.

The museum was crowded with families and there was a lot for children to do over half term with the special space exhibition, not much for adults though. We had some lunch in the cafe and then returned home.

I back blipped yesterday's full day this morning as the internet crashed last night.
