Escaped - just

Two Blips of the River Calder in Mytholmroyd - 24 hours apart.
The top one I took yesterday morning 11am - all peaceful, but windy.
Then the rain and the winds came (courtesy of Storm Brian). Flood warning sirens went off at 7pm and the rain continued.  Around 3 or 4 am the rain eased - just as things were getting critical.
The flood defences worked and the river began to subside.  Great relief all around.
My second blip was taken 11am today - the river was still flowing strongly but had receded by 1.4m (4 ½ ft).
Panic over - for now.
