Barretts Store, St Neots

Barrett's was a small family owned department store on St Neots High Street for over a century. It finally closed its doors earlier this year. The way we shop has changed and it became increasingly hard for the store to attract customers....except in one department......the wool and haberdashery.

So while the old store is converted into new units for shops such as Fat Face, the wool and sewing dept has been turned into a smart little shop to cater to the many local knitters and stitchers.

And pink is clearly a popular colour!
