Well done Ella and Nathaniel

Ella came into my bed at 5.45 to chat about school which was nice, then Nathaniel joined us at 7. After breakfast their dad decided it was time the did a proper hill walk so we drove to the Simonside car park and took it from there. They enjoyed the muddy path up through the trees, the red forestry track not so much, but loved the steep climb to the summit, though Nathaniel got freaked out by the wind and got very cold. You can see how strong the wind was by the state of Ella’s hair!

They did really well. I remember the moaning from their mum trying to get her up there aged 5. Ella went ahead and drew arrows on the track for the chaps to follow. her mum stayed at home and caught up with marking - it is half term, but teachers have a lot to do then.

We went to Katy and Colin’s for supper. I’ll have to stop eating - the new frock is tight already.

Tomorrow we have to be at Whitley Bay by 7:45 am to pick up Thomas as he is on half term but his parents are at work.
