Ranji

H.H. Jam Saheb Shri Sir Ranjitsinhji Vibhaji of Nawanagar, otherwise known as Ranji was the ruler of the Indian state of Nawanagar from 1907 until his death in 1933. He was also the owner of Ballynahinch Castle from 1927. The castle is now an hotel and is where we spent the (family gathering) weekend. This lake view is from the estate.
Ranji was a great cricketer, made the leg glance popular and played for Sussex and England. In the extra blip you'll see some of his cricket bats which are on display in the hotel.
Another extra is of the Ballynahinch Signal Cabin. The railway long since disused and the station house now a private residence.
