Sprawling Staghorn Sumac

We made our third visit to Fort River Refuge in a week, under different weather conditions yet again--comfortably warm, but with mostly weak and hazy sun through thin clouds which gradually thickened.  Backlit sumac bushes simply glowed, as here--view it on the black background  (and compare it with last Tuesday's bright sun).  This was midday (after a slow Sunday-morning start), but we did see a modest number of birds.
