One Crowded Hour

...and a change of seasons, those according to the Noongar year.
The Noongar year is traditionally divided into six seasons which relate to weather conditions and the types of foods expected to be found.

Today we went on a bush walk with 'Aunty Gladys' in this the Kambarang season, that of flowers, nesting and new life.
After a welcome to country and an introduction of each of us to that country by tossing a rock or sand into the creek, our walk began.
We were a big group on a narrow path and she is soft spoken however I  learn from her that the seasons are also about the colours of the landscape.
Red and orange blooms in the burn off season and blues and greens in the wet season and coming into spring and early summer the purples and yellows are the colours of today's walk.
So much to learn!!
