view from Edinburgh Castle

looking North through one of the historic gun ports on Edinburgh Castle, over the city. On the centre/left, the Scott Monument, in the centre, the tower of the Balmoral (former North British) Hotel, and on the right, the monuments on the Calton Hill. Extra of the security  gates on the Royal Mile. They have been there all summer; but easier to get a picture now, now that the number of tourists has subsided a little!
