Texan star

Bold Alamo star
Souvenir from old worn stones
Histories witness.

A haiku contribution to National Poetry Day. The star in the pot is a cheap rusty metal star from the souvenir shop at the Alamo. Cheap but conjures up wonderful memories. I recall wandering amongst the stones with my American host thinking of the stories they could tell. Just like stars, they witness much.
