Reality

After our wonderful Parisian adventure, reality is returning.  I took the car in for a service and asked them to look at the cause of some brake judder.  They did and I was told of the remedy and its cost.  I was also told of the risks in not implementing the remedy.  I told the technician (they don't have mechanics anymore) to go ahead while I kicked my heels in the lovely town of Peebles and its autumn colour.  I did four cafes in the course of my waiting day.
