Fungi

A good day for a walk from New Lanark, along by the River Clyde and up through the woodland to Corra Linn, the first of the major view points. After the recent rainfall the river was very high and the waterfall quite spectacular. I have tried before to photograph the waterfall but the results have never been very good.

The fungi were growing on a rather steep, wet leaf strewn slope but that minor inconvenience doesn't deter a blipper  .... I hung on to the branch of tree and slithered my about a foot down from the path ... sadly, I don't know the name of that particular fungus.

There are still some wonderful autumn colours around although many of the trees have shed most of their leaves to make a wonderful autumnal carpet.
