The Cramond Battery

In the middle of the Firth of Forth is Cramond Island which was used as a garrison during both world wars to provide protection from torpedo boats that would make their way up the river towards the shipyards at Rosyth.

Thankfully, the buildings that protected Scotland haven't been needed since the 1940's and they lay abandoned to be taken over by graffiti artists.
