Frederiskberg Allé

Fun fact of the day, the word Boulevard is actually of Danish origin and not French ....or even Dutch (as Wikiwotsit states). It came into being at the same time as the word bolværk, which means a trench reinforced/supported by logs of wood. Other Danish words in use in English include; ruksack, apothecary, ombudsman (danes don't even know we use this word) and, in Scotland, barn. And any town ending "By" (town) - Grimsby, Rugby and Whitby are Danish named and even gives us by-laws; town law. Then "Thorpe" & "Grim" in the name also mean Danes got there too.

This is Frederiksberg Allé. It should be a boulevard. We live on the only named Boulevard in Copenhagen.
