Sunshine on Water of Leith

An early start with our train leaving Inverness at 6.50am, just £5 each so a bargain.
We arrived just after 10, a slight delay as it's Slippery season, according to the guard. We had a 5 minute announcement talking about leaves on the line , and slidey metal on metal needing trains to break very early otherwise they would miss the station.
We had breakfast in a little Italian cafe , Martone, which was very nice.
A walk down Princes Street. Mike managed to get some comfy shoes from Skechers.
We were able to get into our hotel room just after 12 so left our bags and then went fora walk. The sun was shining as we headed down the steep, cobbled street to Deans Village. Super old buildings on the side of the Water of Leith. Many buildings were old grain mills. There were little court yards, old schools and colourful buildings. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Village
We walked along the river , looking out for kingfishers as it seemed an ideal spot.We did see a dipper and a heron and I'm sure I saw an albino squirrel dash across the river on tree branches.
We had dinner in a Pizza Express, walked past some interesting shops, along a pretty lane and back to the hotel for a quick rest. Then off to see London Grammer at Usher Hall. Excellent gig,she has such an amazing voice. You could have heard a pin drop when she sang this https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jqhgXAGP4Ho
