Tree fungus

As usual, my daily walk in the woods gave me a prod up the backside, and for half an hour I could detach myself from work. (Or 'not work but pretending to sit there and fiddle with a computer').

I couldn't decide which photo to blip, and in the end I chose this one, purely because it made me laugh; it looks like a head popping out of a roll-necked jumper!

This one is also worth taking a look at though; the heavy rain gave the rotting tree some interesting, deep colours.
And I didn't place the leaf there, I could have taken it away, but thought it gave the picture something extra.
