Train to Naples, followed by an extremely fast, comfortable, smooth train to Rome.

I love Rome.  It's as mad as a box of frogs, and the relentless noise would eventually drive me nuts, but for a few days it's utterly intoxicating.  There's something to see around every corner.

Afternoon shuffle past some of the major sights - Trevi fountain, Pantheon, St. Mark's Square, and back to the Spanish steps.
