Dreary weather

Drizzly and windy all day. The complete opposite to yesterday, which is a shame as we had all day with Mollie. So we had to make the best of it. After a lie in, I cooked a full English breakfast. We talked about our options on such a wet day, but decided not to go to the coast. There has been a lot of driving, and we go home tomorrow, so we decided to stay in the warm and play games. Jon walked the dog up to the canal. I knitted a bit after washing up all the breakfast stuff. Then a big pile of games came out, and we played Pass the Bomb, Uno, Whoonu and Yahtzee.

Needing fresh air, we dove up the road to the village of Saddleworth. It would be a very pretty place in the sun. Clearly it is popular, probably with walkers. The canal runs along almost to the road. A nice museum and tourist info, but we didn't go in. It wasn't that expensive but we wanted a cuppa. There are loads of cafes and pubs, but all with tables outside. We stopped for tea and scones in one of them which was very nicely fitted out inside. Dry and warm.

Back to the caravan, and now we are almost at the end of Scrabble. Just Monopoly to go, although we would happy skip it, but being Henry's favourite I don't think we'll be allowed!

Its been lovely spending the day with Mollie. We'll take her back in the morning, then head home.
