Bikers

The British Legion were out in force today at the start of the annual poppy appeal. This particular group are the Midlands Region Riders Branch. They're obviously a homely lot with a teddy bear and subsistence in the form of tea and biscuits.  Some lovely bikes though.

A little extra to confuse the populace.  This notice is at the bottom of today's TV listing in the Guardian's Guide.

Later News (just to keep my diary up to date):  this evening we saw Fergal Keane at the Stratford Arts House, part of the literary festival,.  He wasn't actually there in perso; owing to ongoing issues in Kenya he coud not come back to the UK so the converation was held via Skype.  It was very interesting, mainly based around his new book about the Irish uprising of 1916 and the troubles that followed up to power sharing.  The link was very good, almost as good as being there in person, he even managed questions and answers at the end of the interview.

Prior to this we went with a meal with Tom to the new Ask Italian that has set up in Bell Court.  Very nice.
