Flat Calm

10.8C bright, sunny, few clouds and absolutely glorious. Light NNE/N/NNW breeze.
An amazing contrast to yesterday which was windy (gusts to 50 mph most of the day) and rainy and horrible.

Grocery shopping.

Went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay. There were some seals out on the rocks at Kiel. The sea was flat calm and lovely shades of blue.

At Carskey we walked along to the far end and came back again along the path at the back of the beach with the last little bit back on the beach itself. There were a few Cormorants swimming along and diving. At the far end of the beach the usual mob of gulls was on the sandbar where the river comes out into the sea.

There were no eggs on display at Little farm's roadside stand again.

Later Apothecary7 was painting.
BBC Radio 2 was accompanying the painting.
