Matchday

Looks a bit gloomy here at Murrayfield while the players were warming up. If you were a Jambo it was a lot gloomier by the end. After chatting with folk before the game I had really low expectations but they weren't met. A Hearts team with no heart (not to mention the inability to pass, tackle, defend or do any of the other basics) is a pretty sorry thing to witness. It was their biggest home gate for more than forty years but I'll remember it for all the wrong reasons.

On a cheerier note, had a great time at the golf club's prizegiving dinner. Good food, good company, great guest speaker with Ian Mclauchlan entertaining us with tales of his rugby career. And I didn't miss the last bus home!
