Oxfordshire memories...

(And a quick foray into Berkshire!)

An unusually busy Sunday (by my standards!) spent in the kitchen: pumpkin lantern carved, seeds roasted in olive oil and seasalt flakes, flesh roasted ready for soup tomorrow; Halloween gingerbread biscuits baked; 12 blackberry and 12 black currant jam tarts made, using last year's homemade jam that turned out to be too hard to spread!

So rather than show you a kitchen that looks like it's been hit by a whirlwind, today I give you a memory collage of this week's trip to south Oxfordshire, with a quick hop over the border to Berkshire and Basildon Park.

Top row: Goring on Thames, Basildon Park, Nuffield Place
Second row: Wallingford Castle, Basildon Park, Sunset over Oxfordshire
Third row: Goring on Thames and Streatley
Fourth row: Goring on Thames and Streatley, including George Michael's home
Fifth row: Nuffield Place, Sunrise over misty fields

(Sorry for getting behind with replies again, I'll catch up eventually. In the meantime, thank you so much for your kind comments, stars and hearts this week, all very much appreciated...)
