Kittochside

Today we took H to the National Farm Museum and to the Kittochside Farm, which is a National Trust property run on 1950's lines.  The farm was left to the nation by the Reids, whose family had owned the farm since the seventeen hundreds.  The last owners, having no children, decided to gift the farm to the nation.

It is a very interesting place, and I have made a collage of some of the pictures I took.  During WW2 there had some German prisoners of war there, and one is particular was very thankful of the way he was treated and kept in touch with the family after going home, and in fact has returned with his family over the years.

The weather was lovely and we enjoyed the walk too.
