Chartwell......

....today after an excellent morning service and a roast lamb dinner. It was busy with families following a pumpkin trail in the grounds and there were several children sporting costumes of the season. I followed the lady in the pink jacket to get this photo!

The house was closed for further entrants when we got there but we only wanted to walk round the grounds anyway. They were looking beautiful with so many trees in their autumn colours. I looked round the shop while D enjoyed the second hand book room. We also enjoyed a hot drink in the restaurant. And friends turned up unexpectedly too!

Today we donned woolly hats and had the roof of the MG down. There and back! The heater is very effective!!

The family are home from their holiday and M phoned to tell us some of their activities while in Dubai. Now to fix a date to see them, hopefully soon. Work and school for them tomorrow.....shame....
