Lovely evening for a sail

I thoroughly enjoyed my extra hour in bed.

The afternoon was spent in good company on a guided walk with friends around Gosport. I’ve been on several of them over the years and Keith always points out things that you wouldn’t normally notice.

We saw a church that looked quite average from the outside but on the inside it had columns made from oak from about 1646 and an organ that Handel would have played. And on the outside the bricks weren’t really bricks but tiles as there used to be a tax on bricks.

We finished the walk at the Mary Mouse 2 decommissioned lightship, see the extra. The main image is taken from one of her windows. It was a wonderful way to end a great day.

I’m going to London tomorrow so it’s going to be an early start.
