What a morning..

l woke up and hour earlier than normal (due to the body clock being thrown out of sync by the time change this weekend), threw the curtains wide to be greeted with a frosty white morning.  The first of this end of the year.  l also spotted some unseasonal colour in the border and on closer inspection l found that the poppy had chosen today to unfurl a lovely big bloom... weird!!!???!!!  l don't think l have ever seen a frosted poppy and so this blip is the evidence .. to me it looks crystalised and as if it is covered in sugar crystals.. amazing!
The rest of today was spent helping my sister in law pack up before her move to a new house tomorrow.. note to self... pay men to pack up your house for you.. it was exhausting!!
