Top Shelf

Emergency blip.  This is the top shelf of my bookcase.  The picture of the lady is a card bought for me by my friend.  The original painting is called The Penitent and hangs in the Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle.  I love going to see her there.  One of the things I like about the painting is that wherever you stand her eyes follow you.  Very clever.

The Royal Doulton figure was a present from my mam many years ago.  She bought it for me as she has the same name as me - Valerie.
